As i was growing up I saw people were not very comfortable doing that and at times were even scared of the dead person. I observed and learnt the procedure of how a female needs to be bathed and clothed and the prayers that go with it. I am so grateful to my Creator that the last gift I give to my loved ones is the one they need the most...to clean them and prepare them carefully for their next life. I have given some to organizations I support , and some to people I know who are in need. The latter took a bit of maneuvering since I had to figure out how to give it to them so they wouldn't know where it came from. That made it even more satisfying. I'm so glad I kept thinking of it as "free money" rather than money I should keep and invest. I didn't need it, so it made sense to give it to those who do.
