Hi Snookie (what a great name), welcome to Advanced Life Skills. I see that your blog is focused on dealing with and overcoming pain. I see that it is something you deal with personally as well. I just wanted to say that I completely understand and admire your determination to manifest a positive outlook and attitude..

For the last 39 years I have dealt with chronic back pain. I injured my back at 19 years old and have worked my way through several herniated discs over the decades. I'm all about using our almost limitless abilities to create our personal reality as a way to overcome any obstacle and realize our dreams.

Thank you so much for joining the conversation and for your kind words of encouragement. I hope get a chance to become better acquainted.

Don't know about you guys but when I breathe I don't fill myself with H20, I prefer O2. I always found filling my lungs with water rather distressing.

Jonathan's reply: Thanks for the heads up Antony, I fixed it. Now for the other 2000 typos!

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I love everything on this list. I have to admit though, I dress for comfort, not for confidence.

@Daniel, yes and isn’t it nice that we can expect you to focus on that one. Our lives are so much richer when we openly express gratitude and appreciation.
@Mark, being able to say no to friends is actually an important part of friendship. Would you ask a friend to do something if you knew it was going to stress them out and diminish their quality of life? No, because you care about them. So the key is being honest with yourself and your friends about your situation. Take the time to explain your reasons and a real friend will thank you for your honesty.
@Patricia, good choices that all contribute to growth as a happy person. Being happy and grateful direct our personal development in a wonderful way.

This is a great list. My favorite ones are: #13-Smile often.
#15-Express appreciation.
#23-Laugh often.
#24-Be grateful.
#30-Grow as a person.
All 30 are very important to my continued growth as a person, friend, and spiritual being.

I have had difficulty with 7 because I don't like to say no to friends. I have improved my stress management lately significantly, however, by not over scheduling myself as you suggest.
